Building a Joined-Up Microsoft Security Stack: Entra, Defender, Edge and Purview

This session with Sean O'Farrell, will explore how Microsoft Entra Internet Access, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Endpoint, Edge for Business and Microsoft Purview can work as complementary security control planes. It will clarify where native integration exists, where important gaps remain, and how organisations can combine identity-aware web filtering, shadow IT governance and data protection without duplicating or conflicting controls.

.

Why Attend
If you work in technical support, systems administration or IT management, this session will help you understand how Microsoft’s growing security stack actually fits together in the real world.

You’ll learn:

* How Entra Internet Access, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Endpoint, Edge for Business and Microsoft Purview work together as part of a modern Microsoft security environment.
* Where these tools genuinely integrate — and where gaps, overlaps or conflicting controls can appear.
* How to improve web security using identity-aware access and filtering.
* How to identify and manage Shadow IT and unsanctioned cloud applications being used within your organisation.
* How to better protect sensitive business data across users, devices, browsers and cloud services.
* How to decide which Microsoft security tool should handle which control, rather than unnecessarily duplicating policies across multiple platforms.
* Practical considerations you can take back to your own organisation or customer environments when designing or improving a Microsoft security stack.

Whether you are managing Microsoft 365 environments yourself or supporting multiple customers through an MSP, by the end of this session you'll have a clearer picture of how these technologies can be combined into a more effective and manageable security strategy.

.Drinks and pizza provided by Stack and Co, tech support recruiters to MSPs and end users.
